Joe Fischer is an experienced senior corporate executive with an extensive international career coupled with a significant background in Executive Coaching and Leadership Development.
Joe has led HR and other functions with major multinational corporations locally and abroad, has been Chair and Director of several superannuation funds and a Company Director. Joe holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree, a Masters in Organisational Behaviour and is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
Joe joined the Stephenson Mansell Group in 2007 initially as an Executive Coach and Program Facilitator before taking up his current appointment as General Manager and a Director of the firm in January 2008.
For much of his career, Joe held senior executive positions in Australia and overseas with two iconic global corporations – Nestle, the world’s largest food company and the P&O Group, at the time one of the world’s largest conglomerates with interests across almost every industry sector.
With Nestle, Joe worked both in Australia and Switzerland heading, respectively, local and regional (Asian) Human Resources. During his time in Switzerland, Joe also graduated from an Executive Management Program.
With the P&O Group, Joe initially lead the Australian and New Zealand Group HR and Facilities Management functions, prior to taking up an appointment as Global HR Director at P&O Group HO in London leading HR and a number of ancillary functions. In 2006, DP World acquired P&O globally and Joe worked on the integration of the two businesses for 12 months between London and Dubai. Joe was then offered a senior position in Dubai by the new owners but he and his wife decided to return to Sydney for family reasons where Joe ran his own HR consultancy with a diverse range of assignments and clients prior to joining SMG.
Joe has partnered with CEO’s, Directors, senior executives and business owners and their teams focusing on people and organisational alignment, talent management, leadership development and performance enhancement. Joe:
· Is a highly experienced executive coach and leadership program designer and facilitator;
· Brings to his work a unique background in international business coupled with extensive training in the applied behavioural sciences and executive coaching;
· Works with a wide range of clients across a broad spectrum of functions, industries and sectors and possesses an empathic understanding of the issues they face;
